Late 19th C stoneware lion doorstop with and elaborate faux bois log base and whimsical detailing to the mane. Love the sort of smiling dog-like face. Thin glaze and wear allows the stoneware to show through for an attractive surface. Chip to one ear and one of the paisley shaped forms of the mane, and possibly a pre-firing loss to one of the log ends as shown. 12’ long, 6” wide and 6” high and about 10 pounds.
